How to add text to a PDF file
Add new text anywhere in a PDF document straight from your browser — no software to install and no account required.
Open the PDF editorAdding text to a PDF is handy when you need to fill in a form, add a comment or insert missing information. In Local PDF Editor you do it visually: click a spot on the page and type, and the editor places a new text layer on the document.
You can freely set the size, color and bold or italic style, and move, edit or delete the text at any time. All editing happens locally in your browser — the PDF file is never uploaded to any server.

- Load the PDF fileOpen the editor and choose a file from your disk or drag it into the browser window.
- Pick the Text toolClick the Text tool icon in the toolbar.
- Click and typeClick a spot on the page and type. Enter adds a new line, Ctrl+Enter confirms. Set the color, size and style.
- Download the finished PDFReview the document and download it for 5 PLN including VAT, or use an access code.
Move, correct or remove added text
After adding text, choose the Select tool. You can drag the text, move it with the arrow keys, reopen it with a double click, or remove it with Delete. Changes can be undone before downloading.

How is adding text different from editing existing text?
Adding text creates a new layer on the page. A separate edit tool tries to change a supported existing PDF text object; some fragments only allow a visual replacement.
Is adding text free?
Yes. You can edit the document without paying or creating an account. Downloading the finished PDF costs 5 PLN including VAT, or requires an access code.
